The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be shown live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.
Former two time unified title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I will damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.
Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
