Area Police
Roughly 50 vehicles have been marked with what appears to be blood from a person in the Germany's municipality of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, according to police.
Automobiles, walls and mailboxes were vandalized, in some cases with Nazi symbols, they reported in a official communication.
Law enforcement report they were notified during the night on Wednesday night, when a individual observed that a automobile in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been marked with a reddish-hued fluid.
The fluid had been placed in the pattern of a banned symbol, they stated.
Law enforcement then located numerous other vandalized cars and building exteriors in the surrounding area.
Swastikas are prohibited in Germany under legislation banning the public display of symbols from the Nazi era.
Police state early analysis suggest the substance was probably human blood.
"At present there remains no lead as to its origin; officials are currently not informed of any harm in relation with the incident," they stated.
Local authorities said they were attempting "to solve the case" and have requested to the public for tips.
A high-ranking representative said the attack made him speechless and required to be resolved rapidly.
"This incident affects the very heart of Hanau and reopens the wounds of the right-wing terrorist attack in 2020," he stated on social media, mentioning the murder of nine people by a shooter focusing on people of foreign heritage in five years prior.
